About the project
Digital State UA is the first state-run media platform, initiated by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The project represents Ukraine’s digital brand on a global scale, highlights innovations in the fields of GovTech, IT and Tech, and shapes the image of a modern, technology-driven nation.
Task
To create a platform that will serve as a one-stop shop for an international audience and showcase real-life examples of Ukraine’s digital transformation.
Development
We have developed a website management system that brings together all aspects of the Digital State.ua project in a single platform. The website now allows visitors to easily browse news, projects, information about partners and media coverage.
The website’s speed is achieved through the Single Page Application (SPA) concept. The browser loads only the parts that change, whilst elements that remain unchanged — such as styles, fonts, the header, footer or navigation — are not reloaded.
Technical solution
To develop the website, we used Remix — a modern framework based on web standards that ensures fast, stable performance even under heavy load. It allows for effective management of page routing, dynamic content and caching, ensuring the website always remains fast.
Files, images and documents are stored in S3-compatible cloud storage, which can be scaled and integrated into any project via an API. This ensures flexibility in the development of the Digital State UA digital ecosystem.

And what’s inside?
Published! — a media platform for the rapid launch of news and content websites, designed with a focus on optimising the editor’s workflow to reduce content creation time.
Basic functionality of the government website
An intuitive content management platform
Content typesetting
Security and monitoring of activities
A flexible system for allocating rights and access to the platform
AI assistants and agents
Native support for multilingualism
Multilingual support
Multilingual support is integrated into Published!, so translations can be conveniently created and updated directly in the admin panel. Each page of the website can feature an identical translation or customised content tailored to the needs of the market. This allows you to manage information, for example, by publishing different news items or wording depending on the audience.
Accessibility of the government website
The website has been designed in accordance with the WCAG 2.2 guidelines on web content accessibility. The interface has been adapted for people with visual or motor impairments, as well as for users who interact with the site using assistive technologies.
We have implemented full keyboard navigation and clear focus indicators;
We have ensured correct operation with screen readers and other assistive technologies;
complied with the requirements for the contrast of text, interface elements and their states;
we have built a semantically correct page structure so that the content remains understandable regardless of how the site is accessed.
In this way, we have made the government digital service more accessible to as wide an audience as possible.
In addition, a high-contrast mode, a black-and-white colour scheme and highlighting of interactive elements have been added. The website also scales correctly and adapts to users’ individual settings.
