Website development for the band ‘Druga Rika’: events, tickets, videos
Ukrainian rock band
We developed the official website for ‘Druga Rika’ — a digital platform that brings together the concert calendar, ticket sales, video content and communication with event organisers all in one place.
Objective: to bring the band together in one place online
Prior to the website’s launch, the band’s online presence was spread across social media, YouTube and ticket operators’ websites.
For listeners, this meant several clicks and having to search for information in different places. For the management, it meant not having their own channel that was independent of social media algorithms.
We identified three user scenarios, around which we designed the interface:
- Fan — to find out when and where the nearest concert is, and to buy a ticket.
- Fan — to watch music videos and an archive of performances.
- Event organiser — to quickly find the management’s contact details and book the band.
Each of these has been given a separate path on the website, with no overlap or unnecessary steps.
Concert listings and ticket sales
The central section of the website is the events calendar, divided into upcoming and past events. For each concert, the date, city, venue and a direct link to buy a ticket are displayed.
Tickets are sold via integration with any ticketing operator, depending on the country where the concert is taking place.
The archive of past concerts serves a specific purpose: it documents the band’s touring history whilst simultaneously generating pages that, over the years, drive organic traffic from searches for past performances.
The band’s video gallery
We’ve moved ‘Druga Rika’s’ music videos into a separate section with its own grid and video pages . The videos are embedded from YouTube but are stored within the website’s structure — complete with cover art, descriptions and release year.
In this way, the website functions not only as a gig listings site, but also as the band’s own media library, which isn’t affected by changes to the algorithms of third-party platforms.
Booking: a separate approach for event organisers
An event organiser is a B2B audience with a completely different intention to that of a fan. They don’t need a discography; they need contact details and a quick response.
That’s why we’ve created a separate entry point to the booking section with management contact details and an enquiry form, accessible from the homepage and the main navigation menu.
Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to develop a website for a music band?
The cost depends on the functionality, integrations and number of language versions.
Can ticket sales be integrated directly into the website?
Yes. We connect with Ukrainian ticketing operators via an API or a widget — the user does not leave the artist’s website until payment is made.
How long does development take?
The typical timeframe for an artist’s website is 1–2 months from design approval to launch.
Will the management team be able to add concerts themselves?
Yes. We provide an admin panel where adding an event, music video or news item doesn’t require a developer.
